This cage stands 87 inches tall, but with a chin-up bar attachment, it’ll be a couple of inches higher.

Power racks that are too wide can be problematic for a number of reasons, but this one hits the sweet spot in terms of width. Being 47 inches wide, you have a product that shouldn’t feel cramped inside, but still gives you enough leeway.

The interior depth is 29 inches, so while it’s not as deep as the 36-inch ones, it still beats the 24-inch racks. 29 inches should be sufficient, even if you decide to use a monolift attachment on the inside.

Additionally, the weight storage attachments can be placed lower on the rack, so you don’t have to worry about hitting any pegs at this depth.

It weighs 176lbs, so it’s light-weight in comparison to the heavy-duty ones, which can weigh well over 300lbs. On the other hand, its weight is consistent with other power racks around its price range.

This rack is unique in that it uses laser-cut 2.4” x 2.4” 12 gauge steel. 12 gauge steel is fairly common in budget-friendly power cages because it’s lighter and keeps the cost down; however, the 2” x 4” may be something that requires consideration.

The reason for this is that the 2.4” x 2.4” measurement for the uprights is exclusive to the Force USA brand. This means that attachments for the more common 2” x 2” and 3” x 3” racks will not fit on this one.

Unfortunately, if you already own attachments from another manufacturer, such as Rogue J-hooks, you’ll be out of luck. The 2.4” x 2.4” measurement restricts you from buying accessories from other brands. If this is your first and only power rack, this shouldn’t be an issue though; rather, it’s just something to be aware of.

The cage can be used freestanding or bolted-down, but according to the manufacturer, it must be secured to the ground if you intend on using safety arms or band pegs.

Hole Spacing

One of the more subtle ways that this rack is so customizable is due to its hole spacing.

For those who enjoy benching in a power cage, the holes will be spaced 1 inch apart at this level, allowing you to get the perfect bench setup. At the squat-height, the holes will be 2-inches apart from one another, which is quite standard.

Each hole is numbered, so you get the placement right every time. There are 54 of these holes in total.

It uses a durable black powder coating as its finish for the base rack as well as all of the attachments.

Rack Accessories

Accessories and other attachments are how this power cage has the potential to shine. The frame by itself is sturdy, and it gets the job done, but the MyRack is the definition of modular and is highly customizable.

Aside from the standard attachments, such as j-hooks, chin-up bars, and safety features (there are a lot of different ones to choose from here), Force USA also offers a monolift system.

Some other add-ons that can enhance your home-gym experience are the dip bars, and the lat pulldown and cable crossover machines.

By utilizing the available add-ons, you’ll be able to transform your standard power rack into an all-in-one gym apparatus.

This cage is definitely one of the most affordable power cages on the market, there’s no question about that. However, this is mostly true if you go with the bare minimum.

The rack doesn’t come with J-hooks, so you’ll have to make sure to purchase some. Although this bumps the price up a bit, it’s still competitive with similar ones like the {Titan X-2}. Overall, it’ll usually be the cheaper option in comparison to other cages.

On the other hand, if you decide to go with many attachments, it’ll quickly add up, making it one of the more expensive racks you’ll come across. Without all the extra attachments though, it’s hard to beat its price.

The Good Vs the Bad

The Good
Numbered holes
The holes on this rack are numbered, making it easier to identify your racking and safety rail heights
Highly customizable
Force USA provides many different attachment options for this rack
At its bare minimum (no attachments), this rack is great for those with a lower budget
The Bad
The 2.4″ x 2.4″ uprights mean you’ll have a hard time finding compatible attachments from other manufacturers

More on the MyRack

The Bottom Line

Despite being light-weight, the MyRack is quite sturdy and can support up to 2,000lbs. This is more than enough for most people.

Nonetheless, the ability to tailor your equipment to your personal needs is where this product truly excels. The company makes it very simple to select what you want and place an order. Also, the parts will arrive in separate boxes to make them easier to sort through.

For those who are looking for a great power rack on a budget, the MyRack will do just fine by itself. It’ll allow you to perform the basic powerlifting and strongman lifts. Just don’t forget the J-hooks.
